etc.) throughout our site. In addition, advertisers can specifically sponsor
an area of our site, e.g., Health Library, Drug
Information, Ask A Doctor, Health Center, Search Keywords, Medical News, Community,
etc. They can also target to various sub-content areas of our site, e.g., Specific Health
Topics, Specific Condition Centers, Specific Wellness Centers, Specific Health Library Sections,
Children's Health, Women's Health, Men's Health, Senior Health, etc.
Filters
By Operating System (OS)
Advertisers can choose to target visitors who use a specific operating system, e.g.,
Windows 3.1, Windows 95, Windows NT, Macintosh, Macintosh PowerPC, NEXT, OS/2, or UNIX.
By Web Browser (Agent)
Advertisers can choose to target visitors who use a specific web browser (e.g., Netscape
Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, AOL Browser, Lotus Notes, IBM WebExplorer, or Spry
Mosaic) and browser version. This is particularly useful if the advertiser is using
enhanced creative compatible with only certain browser types.

Advertisers have the ability to target by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) such as
Mindspring and Online Service Providers (OSPs) such as AOL.
By Domain Type
Advertisers can target by domain type, which can be helpful for advertisers trying to
reach certain audiences such as students or government employees. Currently, advertisers
can choose from .com (commercial businesses), .gov (government agencies), .edu
(educational institutions such as universities and schools), .org (organizations), .net
(network providers), and .mil (military installations). You can also target specific
domains.
By Time/Day
Advertisers can choose to target their ads so that they run at specific hours and/or
specific day(s) of the week.
By Location
Advertisers can target by geography, allowing their ads to be shown to visitors of a
certain region, state, or country, and/or to exclude users from certain areas. Targeting
is available by country and area code.
