My 3 year old daughter had a PT and PTT test done yesterday because the doctor wanted to see her clotting levels. Well the test came back fine. It was a two page document and when he looked at it he just looked at the second page which contained the PT and PTT levels. On the first page there were some other test scores that he didn’t look at but I wanted answered. There is a Lymph% and Lymph# on their and her levels were both low. Her Lymph% is suppose to be 50-56 and she was a 27.3 and her Lymph# is suppose to be 3-9.5 and she was a 1.68. Did the doctor maybe see it and not think anything about it so he didn’t say anything or should I ask him to explain more? Should I be concerned with these numbers? Am I just being paranoid??
Your child is the most important thing in your life. I am a Medical assistant and let me tell you doctors over look things all the time. Ask, ask ask ask…………….Questions at all times about anything. This is your child and you can’t replace a child so never ever be afraid to ask about his/her condition. Or about your own. You pay the doctor he works for you don’t let a doctor make you think he is in charge because he is not.
Hello, My daughter just turned 2, at her 2 year check up we found a small pea sized lump on the right side of her neck. It is hard to explain where it is, but if you follow you finger from her ear to almost the back of her neck that is the location. The Dr. said it is prob a swollen lymph node or small cyst?
She has not been sick, and has not had any bites, scratches etc. Today her eyes have bags under them. Although she is always pretty chipper I have always thought it is weird that she can wake up and be going a mile a minute and then she will lay down for 5-10 minutes and suck her thumb, then she will get up play hard and then lay down and suck her thumb like she is really tired. She does this throughout the course of the day and night. I am worried about it being cancerous or something more serious. Not sure what it could be since she has not been sick at all, would a node flare up for no reason?
